DAY IN THE LIFE AS DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES
As Director of Social Services at our elder care facility, you will be responsible for counseling residents and coordinating any necessary psyche services. You'll also be asked to participate in behavior meetings, and coordinating room changes. As required, you keep accurate records for each resident you work with, including MDS logs, and report any changes in a resident's condition to the nursing department immediately.
Your positive attitude filters down to our staff, as well as our patients and their families. With patience and a calm demeanor, you treat those you care for just the way you would want your own family members treated.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES
- Previous experience in a long term care facility required
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
- A love for people, especially the elderly
